Mouth Guards

A mouth (night) guard is a plastic/acrylic device that fits over a person’s teeth that can be hard or flexible. A mouth guard is designed to protect the teeth, jaw, muscles and tendons from the impacting forces of teeth grinding and clenching. In addition to protecting the teeth from wear, many people who suffer with chronic headaches, earaches and jaw pain will benefit from wearing a night guard.

They are custom fit to your mouth to ensure they do not create further TMJ or dental problems. Our Dentist will assess your dental habits and determine whether or not a night guard is right for you. Grinding and clenching are difficult to control habits which often occur during sleep. Wearing a guard nightly can greatly improve your chronic pain, reduce wear (which can often lead to fractured teeth), and improve your sleep habits.

Night guards are fabricated at our Dental laboratory and are then fitted in our office by the Dentist to ensure they are both functional and comfortable for your daily use.

Sports guards

Anyone who engages in sports or high-impact daily exercise is advised to wear a sports guard.

A sports guard is designed to protect your teeth, soft tissues and even your brain in the event of an accident or injury. The main function of a sports guard is to absorb the shock and force from a traumatic injury to the head, neck and jaw. A sports guard can help prevent tooth and jaw damage as well as protect the brain from concussion. Sports guards are custom fit for you and are typically required by all organized sporting teams.

Our sports guards are made here in house by our highly trained Dental team and designed with your comfort and safety in mind.
